Sony is yet to unveil its latest mobile product, the Honami, but there are a lot of related reports surfacing the web presently. One of the device’s main attractions is clearly its camera and it has been the subject of many debates, which is not surprising at all considering its abilities. If you are not familiar with the rumors, the camera of the Sony Honami is said to be capable of taking 20 MP pictures and record full 4K resolution video.
Some of the customers who are waiting for the Sony Honami to be launched, are mainly eager to use its beast of a camera. While we still don’t know for sure when the handset will be released, we have good news for the users who want a taste of it. It looks like the camera software features can be used right away on a different phone.
One of the users of the XDA Developers forum named krabappel2548 has posted a set of instructions on how to utilize the camera application of the Sony Honami with the company’s current flagships, the Sony Xperia Z, Sony Xperia ZL, and the Sony Xperia Tablet Z. That’s right, the camera software can now be utilized on all the mentioned devices, courtesy of krabappel2548.
The software works just like the other camera applications developed for Google’s operating system, but it includes a series of new features meant exclusively for the Honami, like pre-configured art filters, visual search, ultra fast focusing, and augmented reality.
In case you are among the individuals who are planning to purchase the Sony Honami when it will become available, you can get an idea of how its camera will work by using the application. Of course, you must own a Sony Xperia Z, Sony Xperia ZL, or a Xperia Tablet Z. Also, you should know that Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is required.
