• Are they offering more access than you will use? If you’re only going to use 1GB per month, then paying for unlimited internet is probably a massive waste. You might well find that you can do with just getting a mobile phone that has internet functionality. Many of the things that you might need to do can be done with a phone these days. •  Are they offering their deal as part of a package? If you already have cable TV then paying to switch across to a competitor may cost you more than it does with your current supplier. It always pays to check these numbers out before you commit.

•  Are you being offered something that seems weird? Everyone seems to be offering some manner of cuddly toy or t-shirt with their service these days. Chances are that if you’re being offered something that doesn’t have anything to do with the service you’re being fobbed off. Make sure that you shop around before you commit.
